Christmas cards made from these templates

Eight cards started from one everyday photo, two from no photo at all. The people and pets are AI-generated examples, not real people. Every greeting was typed in the panel and checked letter by letter, accents included.

Six Christmas card styles

Every style works with a photo or without one. The greeting and the small line are yours to change.

Classic red and gold

Classic red and gold

Deep red with a gold frame, holly and baubles: the traditional Christmas card.

Nordic minimal

Nordic minimal

Calm off-white, geometric fir trees and lots of space. Clean and modern.

Watercolor

Watercolor

Soft washes of pine green and berry red, with branches and falling snow.

Photo collage

Photo collage

Your photo as the big print, surrounded by snapshots of the tree, cookies and gifts.

Funny pet

Funny pet

A Santa hat or reindeer antlers for your pet, with tangled lights and a playful frame.

Kid's crayon drawing

Kid's crayon drawing

Everyone drawn like a cheerful crayon picture, with a wobbly tree and a snowman.

Your people, your words, letter for letter

Everyone in your photo appears once, with the same face, age, hairstyle and glasses, and nobody is added. The greeting is lettered exactly as you type it, in any language: the Spanish card here reads Feliz Navidad y próspero Año Nuevo with every accent in place, and the French one keeps the é in Léo.

Leave the photo out and the template gets an illustration instead: geometric fir trees, a watercolor village or a crayon snowman. Every card is 1792 × 2400 pixels, and the buttons under the result save a print file cut to 5 × 7 inches, A6 or a Japanese postcard at over 300 dpi.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Christmas card maker free?

You can try it for free. New accounts get 10 to 30 free credits depending on country, no credit card needed. A card costs 5 credits, with or without a photo, so the free credits cover at least 2 cards. Downloads on the free plan carry a small Vidney watermark; on any paid plan, or for 12 months after a one-time purchase, they download clean. After that, credits come with a subscription plan; the cheapest, Starter, is $9 a month. You can also pay once with no subscription: $0.99 for one image or $1.99 for three, and those credits stay valid for 12 months. The price is always on the button before you create.

Do I need a photo to make a Christmas card?

No. With a photo, the people and pets from it go on the card. Without one, every style is drawn with an illustration instead, such as a decorated tree, a snowy village or a crayon snowman, and it costs the same. To put family members photographed apart on one card, use the Family Christmas Card page linked below.

What can I write on the card?

Two lines. The big greeting starts as Merry Christmas and the small line as With love from all of us; change either to anything up to 48 characters, such as Happy Holidays, Season's Greetings, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, or Love, the Johnsons. Leave the small line empty to print only the greeting. Any language and any accents work. Check the spelling on the card before you print it, and create it again if a letter is off.

Which Christmas card styles can I choose?

Six: Classic red and gold, Nordic minimal, Watercolor, Photo collage, Funny pet and Kid's crayon drawing. The photo collage puts your photo in the middle and fills the small prints around it with festive details only, never extra copies of people. The crayon style draws everyone as a child's drawing, so people are recognizable by their hair, glasses and clothes rather than by photo detail.

Can I print the card? What size is it?

Yes. The card is 1792 × 2400 pixels. Under the result, the 5 × 7 in, A6 and Japanese postcard buttons cut the card from the center to that paper shape and save a JPEG at over 300 dpi. Text and faces are kept away from the side edges, so nothing important is trimmed. Print at 100% on the matching paper size.

Will everyone still look like themselves? Can I use any photo?

Yes, in every style except the crayon drawing, faces, age, hairstyle, skin tone and glasses stay as in the photo, and every person and pet appears exactly once. Use a sharp photo where every face can be seen. Only use photos of yourself, your family or people who agreed to be on the card; photos of celebrities and other public figures are not supported.
