Can I make matching pfps with a friend?
Yes. Pick Best friends: the heart becomes a fist bump across the middle and you wear the same outfit in two colors. Subtle and the drawing styles work for friends too; every style except Subtle and Best friends uses the shared heart.
What is a subtle matching pfp?
A pair that does not give itself away. With Subtle there are no hearts and no touching: each icon looks like an ordinary profile picture, and the pair only shows when they sit next to each other, through the same background, mirrored poses and one matching item each.
Is it free? How many credits does it cost?
New accounts get free credits, enough for your first pairs. One pair costs 3 credits in any style, whether you upload one photo or two selfies, and you get both icons and the combined image from that one run. The total is on the button before you confirm. Credits come with a subscription plan; the cheapest, Starter, is $9 a month. You can also pay once with no subscription: $0.99 for one image or $1.99 for three, and those credits stay valid for 12 months.
Can I get anime characters, cartoon characters or celebrities?
No. Every style draws the two of you as original characters, never as an existing anime, cartoon or game character. Only use photos of yourself and of people who agreed to be in the picture; you tick a box confirming this before you create. Photos of celebrities and other public figures are not supported.
Do I own the image? Is there a watermark?
Yes, the icons are yours to use, including commercially, subject to the source model terms. Downloads on the free plan carry a small Vidney watermark on each icon; on any paid plan they download clean.
