AI Short-Form Video Generator — vertical, loopable, feed-ready
Generate 6 to 10-second vertical videos for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Loopable endings, 9:16 native, no editor required.
AI Short-Form Video Generator
Short-form algorithms reward two things: vertical aspect ratio and a loopable last frame. Vidney's short-form workflow runs on Veo 3 by default — the model with the strongest grasp of camera energy and scene-to-loop transitions in 9:16.
What it's good for
- TikTok / Reels / Shorts uploads where you have an idea but no footage
- Hooks for thumbnail-driven videos — generate the hook, edit the rest
- Product teasers — 6 seconds is enough to land a single concept
- Stock-style B-roll for editors who don't want to license stock footage
How it works
- Describe the scene — one main subject, one main action, one main mood.
- Pick the camera energy — static lock-off, slow push-in, handheld follow, whip-pan.
- Specify "loopable" — Veo 3 will design the last frame to land near the first.
- Set duration — 6s is the sweet spot for feeds; 8s for product teasers; 10s if you want a beat to breathe.
- Generate — 30 seconds to 2 minutes on Veo 3.
Prompts that work
- "A latte being poured into a glass cup on a marble counter, top-down 9:16, soft window light, slow push-in, loopable ending where the foam settles, 6 seconds."
- "A skateboarder riding through neon-lit Tokyo arcade, handheld follow camera, 9:16, motion-blur on signs, loopable ending where they round a corner, 8 seconds."
- "A black cat stretching on a sunlit hardwood floor, 9:16 vertical, slow zoom-in, loopable ending where the cat closes its eyes, 6 seconds."
Why Veo 3 for short-form
| Concern | Why Veo 3 wins | |---|---| | Native 9:16 framing | Generates true vertical, not a cropped 16:9 | | Camera energy | Whip-pans and handheld feel intentional, not glitched | | Last-frame design | Strongest at engineering loops without a hard cut | | Audio | Optional native audio generation, useful for ASMR / ambient |
For heavily stylized content (anime, claymation, graphic), switch the model dropdown to Kling v2 — Veo 3 leans photoreal, Kling has more flexibility in style.
Tips
- One concept per generation. "Coffee being poured AND a cat watching AND the camera zooming" is two too many. Pick one.
- Specify "loopable" explicitly. Without it, videos end on whatever frame the model chose, often a hard stop.
- 9:16 in the prompt, not just the parameter. Saying "vertical 9:16" inside the prompt text reinforces composition, not just frame size.
